 | Screen OCR 6.1 |  | Expands the powers of your PC's built-in copy command. Screen OCR can copy text from many locations that are inaccessible to the Windows Clipboard, including dialogboxes and protected Web pages. All settings are available via the system-tray icon, which lets you select a color for highlighted text and choose how you want the text-selection tool to behave. For example, you can make it act just like the function built into Windows, or you can have it copy items in a rectangular box. Additionally, Screen OCR can copy graphics or certain areas of your screen and display statistics, such as word count and font style once you've highlighted text. Screen OCR recognizes any text visible in any place of the screen. All you have to do is to choose the proper selection mode, select the data, and copy it to the Clipboard. People who work with data that cannot be saved or printed will like the program. Screen OCR saves everything you can see on the screen and does it with astonishing accuracy, whether it's an image, scanned text, PDF, or HTML. Web designers, analysts, or interpreters also can use it. You can use Screen OCR in any way you are most comfortable with. It can be window selection, scrolling capture, simple cursor capture, or rectangular selection. It recognizes Internet Explorer windows, PDFs, pictures--anything you can read with your eyes. Screen OCR saves everything that you can see on the screen - and does it with astonishing accuracy. Whether it will be image, scanned text, PDF or HTML - Screen OCR will recognize the letters and saves it. It can be used by web-designers, analysts or interpreters also. |

  | Standby 1.0 | | Standby.com turns the screen off immediately and temporarly. Screen turns to normal mode when any key pressed.
No need further effort to install it. Copy it anywhere.
Double click if you are using windows. Or, type: STANDBY <parameter> and press <enter> under dos or dos box in windows.
Parameter you
may enter: Screen mode

1 -> Standby mode (default)
2 -> Suspended mode
3 -> Off mode
4 -> Reduce on (flat screens only)
If you enter no parameter it supposes you give "1" as default. Any other parameter (except 2,3 or 4) results a brief help screen.
No screenout appears when valid parameter entered. Thus, you may use my program through any program. It doesnt temper current screen design when valid parameters used.
Furthermore source codes (standby.asm) is included in its original package if you may want to modify it to fit your individual requests.
You know, windows is capable to close screen after a period if you have previously adjusted somethings. But, usually I dont have time to wait for windows will close screen. I need immediate turn it off. This program just does this.
Hope it helps to any other people too. Its free, but I dont see any objection to send me one "thank" email.

choice around the outside of the entire screen. Bat files can be used
to display the icons and are accessible from Windows environment. A
typical .bat file might include:

The resultant bordered screen can be saved if the user presses the
PrintScrn key while the border shows. Then afterwards he/she can
access a display or paint program such as MSPAINT, click on Edit, click
on Paste, and voila! the picture appears and can be saved for future
use.
