PokerStove is an odds calculator for Texas Hold'em. With
PokerStove you can:

- Compute the percentage each hand wins all-in.
- See how your hand fares versus a range of hands.
- Calculate whether calling that all-in raise is correct.

When performing equity calculations in Texas Hold'em there are
two important aspects that need to be considered. First, are the
calculations corect? This is vital since errors in calculation
can lead to catastrophic results.

Second, and more importantly, are the calculations useful? Poker
is a complex game. There is a huge amount of information that
can be calculated regarding the game of poker, but if it can't
inform your decisions at the table, what good is it?

PokerStove attempts to solve both those problems by not only
providing fast equity calculation, but also by allowing you to
"read" your opponents before you know their hands. If you
suspect a strong hand, but are not sure, you can run your hand
versus a distribution of hands that you select. If your opponent
is likely to play any hand, you can run your hand versus every
possible hand he might hold.

For example, the evaluator can calculate the equity of 22 vs. AA
when the suits are not specified. It can also calculate the
equity of a hands like 87s versus an early raiser who might hold
one of {99+, AQo+, AJs+}.

The computation engine behind PokerStove is highly optimized for
preflop calculations. As such, it can give exact values to
preflop problems that other software simply cannot provide.
